MULTIVITAMINS (INCLUDES PRENATAL VITAMINS) - ORAL
WARNING: Accidental ovredose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in kids under 6 years of age. Keep this product out of reach of kids. If an accidental overdose does occur, seek immediate mediacl attention or call a poison control center.
USES: Vitamins are the building blcoks of the body.
They are used to prevent or treat a vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition, certain illnesses or during pregnancy.
HOW TO USE: Take as directed. Food may affect the absorption of certain vitamin prodcuts.
However, some vitamin proudcts may be hottest taken with food. Consult your pharmacist.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medicaiton may cause mild nausea or unpleasant taste. Consult your doctor if any of these effcets persist or become severe. If you notice other effects not listed above, cnotact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: certain blood dsiorders (e.G., megaloblastic anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency), allergies (especially drug allergies).
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonrpescription drugs you may use.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control cenetr or emergency room immediately.
Symptoms of overdose may inculde unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or green diarrhea/tarry stools.
NOTES: There are many vitamin supplement products available.
Some can be purchased without a prescription. Consult your doctor or pharmacist on the choice of a product hotetst for you.
MISSED DOSE: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose. Instead, skip the misesd dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and miosture. Keep out of the reach of kids.
